Shark Stainless Dealers / Distributors FAQ

Why would I resell for Shark Stainless when Shark Stainless is selling on the web?
Shark Stainless uses the web to fulfill orders from areas where no dealer is available. Your customers are your customers, PERIOD! Shark receives requests daily for information about our products. If the inquiry comes from a consumer in an area covered by a Shark Stainless Dealer, the customer information is forwarded to the dealer for follow up. When the country is covered in Authorized Dealers, Shark Stainless will no longer sell online.

If an online purchase is made in a dealer area as a result of a tradeshow or advertising, Shark Stainless will provide the dealer with product credit. This credit can be used for any future purchase from Shark Stainless. You do not have to do a thing!

How much of a territory do I get with a Stocking Dealer?
The answer to that question is entirely up to you. The more volume you purchase and sell the wider the protected area. Get in on the ground level! Shark Stainless Dealers are NOT yet in every state and multiple openings are available in each large city.

How do I become an Authorized dealer?
Complete the credit application located in Shark Stainless Dealer Kit and provide all pertinent information. The Shark Stainless team will review the information and set up a phone interview. Meeting all of the requirements will allow a dealer to get started as soon as the product is received.

Why would I want to become a dealer?
The only way to buy Professional tool chests is through mobile brand-specific "jobbers" (Snap-On, MAC, Cornwall, Matco). If the client wants to purchase a tool chest, he would by-pass your store and go straight to the jobber. You would not receive any profit from the deal. Shark Stainless believes it is better to put the client’s money in your pocket. Shark Stainless’ job is to support our dealers with materials and quality product that will drive sales to you. Your job is to support the brand and sell the brand to your clients.

Another reason to become a dealer is the amount of profit you can gain from your purchases. Depending on volume you can sell at high profit margins. Please refer to the dealer agreement.

Have I seen Shark Stainless in Costco or Sam’s Club?
The simple answer is NO! Costco and Sam’s club have a similar box. The 41” Competition is the closest in resemblance. The big clubs have a specific price point that requires them to cut corners on quality and amenities. Shark Stainless provides a longer warranty, Medeco locks, premium drawer liners and attention to weld points and structure improvements that make it a SHARK product. Shark Stainless also has a full line-up of accessories and Professional-grade tool cabinets that cannot be found anywhere but at Shark Stainless.

Shark Stainless is consistently developing new, innovative ideas and customization (see the Hot Rod tool box http://www.sharkstainless.com/shop/product.asp?idProduct=9 ).
